Trevor Zegras just blew our minds

I think we’re all still in shock. Mouth agape. Flabbergasted.

Trevor Zegras pulled off arguably the greatest Breakaway Challenge attempt ever at the NHL All Star Skills Competition in Las Vegas on Friday night.

You have to see it to believe it.

The Vegas connection coming out in the uniform of Peter LaFleur, Vince Vaughn’s character in the movie Dodgeball, was fantastic. Having John Gibson blindfold him was even better. Having the mascots throw balls at him while he was making the attempt was incredible. But the actual skill and creativity of the move he ended up pulling off on celebrity goalie Wyatt Russell was absolutely mind-blowing.

Bonus for those of you who didn’t catch it in the video: Wild Wing threw his ball at the goalie!

And look, Jack Hughes’s magician attempt was great too. But both of them getting robbed in a sham voting scandal with Jon Hamm giving former St. Louis Blue Alex Pietrangelo to give him the win despite a relatively mediocre attempt was criminal.

Election fraud. Stop the steal. Not my Breakaway Challenge champion.
