Anaheim Ducks Select Albin Sundsvik 160th Overall

The Anaheim Ducks have selected Albin Sundsvik with the 160th overall pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.

The 6’2” 187 pound center put up 4 points in 38 games last year in the SHL for Skelleftea and 22 points in 19 games last year in the J20 SuperElit for Skelleftea J20. He has had 1 point in 4 games so far this season for Skelleftea.

Sundsvik is an overager, having not been selected in the 2019 entry draft even though he was eligible for it.

Sundsvik had a good year when he was playing in the under 20 league, getting top line minutes, and looking dominant at times. He played on their first line and produced most of his points by using his size to get to the front of the net. He does have good puck skills also. The main issue is his performance did not translate well to the SHL.

A 6th round pick is a place where you can take a flier on a guy, and the Ducks did that with this pick.
